Nothing

Say you are happy about something. You are just happy. You need not verbally describe it. You particularly don't want to. You just stay with your feeling.

Now introduce time into this : You start thinking if you were happier yesterday. You start worrying if you would remain happy tomorrow. You also worry if the thing that is keeping you happy today will remain with you tomorrow. These thoughts take you away from the present. You are no more happy.

-- I finished two books on thoughts of J.Krishna Murthy. What I have tried to explain above is one of his thoughts. He says that all ideals and theories increase the conflicts in human mind. He suggests to stay with "what is", than thinking about "what could be".

  3. I'm happy to know that you have read Jiddu's books.

Like he suggests, we really have to observe our own thought process...the way we think.

Even after thousands of years...man has not solved many psychological issues like "Fear", "Greed", "Jealousy" and such... it's all still there.. Buddha hasn't solved it... Jesus Christ couldn't solve it.. none.. So, Jiddu says that we have to reject all authority and look into our own mind. without escaping...!!!
